David Falck wins the Best Poster Award 2009 of the Dutch Society for Mass Spectrometry
David Falck from Division of Biomolecular Analysis and Spectroscopy has won the Best Poster Award 2009 of the Dutch Society for Mass Spectrometry.
The price was awarded during the first joint annual meeting of the NWO Studygroup Analytical Chemistry and the Dutch Society for Mass Spectrometry during which a total of 110 posters have been presented. The jury presented the award for the scientific quality and professional layout of David Falck’s poster contribution entitled ‘Development of a Hyphenated p38 Kinase Binding Assay for the Parallel Identification and Determination of Active Compounds in Mixtures’. His research project is part of the Top Institute Pharma project “Metabolic stability assessment as new tool in the HIT-TO-LEAD selection process and the generation of new lead compound libraries”, a cooperation between the Divisions of Biomolecular Analysis and Spectroscopy and Molecular Toxicology of the VU University, the Radboud University Nijmegen, Xendo Drug Development and Schering-Plough Research Institute Oss. This is the second award for this project after another researcher of the Division of Biomolecular Analysis and Spectroscopy, Jon de Vlieger, having won the Best Poster award during the 2009 Top Institute Pharma Spring meeting.
